You begin the trip in Cusco at an altitude of 3,400 meters, we cross a mountain range for about 4 hours, until we descend to the Apurímac River canyon at about 2,000 meters high.
In Quechua it means “Speaker of the gods.” This river is the most direct source of the Amazon, making it the longest river in the world. On our expeditions we use only the latest in Rafting technology with quality equipment and professional class V guides.
All meals are prepared under strict hygienic measures and we camp on sandy beaches under the starry night of the Southern Hemisphere. Most of the time we will be running class III plus IV and some class V rapids.
Animal life in this remote canyon includes river otters, foxes, torrent ducks, cormorants and the Condor.
