Itinerary
Inca Jungle Trek Machu Picchu, will begin our trip by picking up our travelers from their hotels between 7:00 and 7:30 am to transport them in our private transportation to the first starting point, Abra Málaga at 4,316 meters above sea level (the trip lasts 3 hours).
During the trip, we will pass through the sacred valley of the Incas that will give us impressive views of its archaeological sites.
We will arrive at “Abra Málaga” approximately from 10 to 10:30 am to begin the bicycle tour through the high jungle, our guide will give an informative safety talk and will provide us with the complete equipment for this activity.
The time to travel by bicycle to our next destination lasts 3 hours (55 km), if you do not want to participate in this adventure, you can comfortably go aboard our transportation.
The route shows green landscapes that are accompanied by rivers, streams and orchards to reach the archaeological center of Huaman Marca, where we will learn more about its history.
Arrival around 1:30 to 2:00 pm in the town of Santa María, our first camp, a comfortable hostel that belongs to a local family, they will provide us with a delicious lunch based on local ingredients and we will spend the night.
After a refreshing rest, we will head to the Vilcanota River to go rafting (US$ 35 per person), this river offers category III and III+ rapids.
For this activity you will be provided with helmets, windbreakers and category V life jackets. According to the Peruvian government, swimming is mandatory to carry out this activity (available from April to December).
At the end of our activity, we will return to our camp in “Santa María” to have dinner and rest until the next day.
We will arrive at Calca, a small community at 2,940 meters above sea level. Here you can observe its population in their daily activities, including textiles, agriculture and livestock.
After a 4-hour trip we will arrive at the town of Lares at 3200 meters above sea level. Here we will begin the walk, but first we will relax in its warm thermal waters and have lunch prepared with local ingredients.
At the end of our activities we will take a 4-hour walk among beautiful Andean landscapes covered with green grasses and llamas grazing freely on them.
At dusk we will arrive at Wacahuasi, a small town at 3,600 meters above sea level, where we will meet the locals and have dinner together while sharing stories of daily life.
We will wake up at 6:00 am to enjoy an energizing breakfast, then we will begin a walk along the banks of the Vilcanota River through Inca paths used to connect with the Sacred City of Machu Picchu.
Descent towards the town of Qellomayo, along the way you will see enormous plantations of coca, coffee and tropical trees that mix harmoniously with the wildlife (birds and insects).
In Qellomayo around noon we will have lunch and then continue towards Santa Teresa, but first we will make a stop at the thermal baths of Cocalmayo, a place to relax in its warm waters after a long trek.
At night we will arrive in Santa Teresa to stay in a hostel where we will have a delicious dinner and sleep comfortably.

Inca Jungle Trek Machu Picchu, will wake up around 05:30 am to have breakfast and with our guide we will begin a 2-hour walk to Machu Picchu, the purpose is to enjoy the beautiful sunrise at the Sanctuary.
Inside Machu Picchu you will take a tour learning about the history of the streets, temples, squares, platforms and ceremonial centers (the tour will last 2 hours).
Later, you can climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu (reservation required).
You can also freely explore the Inca site taking photos or videos until the time indicated by the guide, then we will return walking for 1 hour to Aguas Calientes.
In Aguas Calientes, you can have lunch, visit the museum or the small market up to half an hour before your train leaves.
At the Ollantaytambo station, our private transportation is waiting for you and will take you back to the city of Cusco.
Conclude our services by dropping you off in the safety of your hotel.
