Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a coca tea, which helps with altitude sickness. After that, you will settle into your room and rest for 2 hours before heading out for our first experience.

City Tour Visit: Cathedral

We will pick you up from your hotel to start this unforgettable City Tour of Cusco. We will begin with the colonial part, including the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral, decorated with fine wood carvings, impressive altars, and beautiful paintings created by local artists from the 17th-century Cusco School. Then, we will visit the Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, considered an indigenous religious sanctuary, where we will appreciate the exquisite stonework technology of the Incas.

Peru Travel Machu Picchu Colorful,  Next, we will move to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman, a marvelous and imposing site that offers a panoramic view of the city of Cusco. It was constructed with large limestone blocks weighing between 25 and 125 tons. We will continue our visit to Qenqo and Puca Pucara, a strategic place for controlling and monitoring access to and from the Imperial city of Cusco. Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, with its water sources used for ceremonial purposes during the Inca times. After concluding our tour, we will return to the city of Cusco and to our hotel.

We will stop at the Taray viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley. After visiting Pisaq, we will explore the colorful artisan market. We will then continue our journey to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant.

After lunch, we will proceed by van to the Archaeological Park of Ollantaytambo, where you will enjoy an explanation from our guide about this important citadel, considered "the living Inca citadel of the Sacred Valley." Finally, we will stay in this city, and from here, we will take our train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Our team will be waiting for you at the train station to welcome you and take you to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Peru Travel Machu Picchu Colorful,  At the scheduled time, our Peru Fantastic team will visit you at your hotel to start our itinerary. We will head to the bus station and then take a 25-minute ride up to the Sanctuary. At the control post, we will have our original documents checked.

We will continue our visit with our guide, exploring the most important sites of Machu Picchu, starting with the traditional photo. After concluding our visit, which will last about three hours, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch. Then, we will head back to Ollantaytambo, where a van will be waiting to take us to the airport in Cusco.

Peru Travel Machu Picchu Colorful,  At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the town of Cusipata (3319 meters above sea level // 10,889 feet), where we will stop for breakfast. We will then continue to the trailhead (3989 meters above sea level // 13,064 feet), where our hike will begin after listening to the guide's instructions. Our tourist transport will wait for us at the same location, so you can leave behind any items you don't wish to carry.

Groups of llamas and alpacas will accompany us on our journey, making this a spectacular trip for hikers who love true outdoor adventures and being in contact with the Andes. The hike will take approximately two hours to ascend. There is also the option to rent horses from local residents.

Once at the summit (5200 meters above sea level // 17,060 feet), you will enjoy the view of the Rainbow Mountain and take the traditional photos. Additionally, you will enjoy the surrounding snow-capped peaks, including the majestic Ausangate.

After spending some time on the mountain, we will descend back to the starting point where our transport will be waiting to take us to a tourist restaurant for lunch. We will then return to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
