Exploration of the Jungle of Puerto Maldonado
Puerto Maldonado, I headed to one of the numerous ecological lodges located along the Madre de Dios River. The boat trip on the river was a wonderful experience, surrounded by a dense jungle landscape and exotic fauna. One of the most memorable moments was the visit to the Tambopata National Reserve. Walking along its trails, guided by expert naturalists, I was able to see an incredible variety of flora and fauna up close. I observed colorful macaws, howler monkeys and alligators in their natural environment. I also had the opportunity to explore Sandoval Lake, a water mirror surrounded by palm trees and home to giant otters and many other species.
